The project
Debt.ca is Debt.com's Canadian counterpart, a debt-relief network that's been helping Canadians since 2000. I'm designing and building it right now: a Canadian brand identity, a bilingual English and French experience, the calculators and guides, and the lead flow that gets someone from worried to a real plan. Still in progress, but the bones are all there.
The challenge
Canada is not just Debt.com with a maple leaf. Different regulations, a different money culture, and two official languages that both have to feel first-class, not machine-translated. The site has to earn trust quickly and work equally well in English and French.
The approach
Build it bilingual from the first screen instead of translating in later. A clear savings-estimate path, plain-language guides and calculators, and a warm, trustworthy tone for people in a stressful spot. Designed and developed as I go, deployed continuously so the team can watch it come together.
What I built
- Canadian brand identity and marketing site
- Bilingual English and French, built in from the start
- Debt calculators and a plain-language help centre
- Savings-estimate and lead flow
- Designed and developed, deployed on Railway
